Come on get out, out of here.
In a few days Singapore's biggest music festival "singfest" will be here (Agust 5th). Over 3 days their will be old acts, new acts, rock music and pop music. Singfest is quite a new festival only running for a few years. It's quite impressive how they have such good lineups every year!

Headliners this year include, Katey Perry, Smashing Pumkins, 30 seconds to mars and Australia's own The vines.

What a great 3 days that would be, Definitely a festival you watch online if you cant be in Asia (Like me).

Would Singfest be a festival you would go to before you die?

You and me could write a bad romance
Who would be the wierdest artists to do a duo together? If your answer was Lady Gaga and Susan Boyle then you are correct. As strange as it sounds Lady Gaga has approached Susan asking to do a colaboration. Apparantly this new song will be released around Christmas time. So maybe a Christmas song is in the works.

Whats my opinion? We all know that Lady Gaga is out of her mind most of the time and she is unique and I love her for that, but Susan Boyle? I have nothing against her but Gaga stay with Beyonce.

Whats your verdict? Maybe Gaga and Su will suprise us with something amazing? Lets just hope that if they do make a music video that Susan dose not follow Gaga's lead and dance around in studded undies!

I see it in your eyes, That now your giving up the gun.
The band who brought you songs like "Giving up the gun and "cousins", Vampire Weekend are being sued by the cover model "Ann Kirsten Kennis" on their second album "Contra".

This photo is Ann was taken in 1983 by photographer Tod Brody, but was not used as the album cover until 2010. Ann filed a lawsuit claiming that the signature on the release form that would allow the band to use the image was forged. She states that she had no idea that her photo was going to be on the 2010 album cover and that she blames the band for not verifying legitimacy of her signature on the release.

Vampire Weekend are such a good band, i hope this will not get in the way of the furthering their career.

this is war.
Last night 30seoncds to mars played at Festival Hall in Melbourne. It was such a good venue for this band as the audience were close enough to feel involved with the band. 30 seconds to mars were absolutely fabulous performing last night. They played a variety of songs ranging from songs from their latest album "This is war" to older classics. Jared, Shannon and Tomo had amazing stage presence and they made you watch them. The stage layout was cool with Shannon drums were on the side of the stage at the front rather than the back like the usual band setup. With strope lights, flashlights and white confetti the whole almost 2 hrs of concert was amazing. Jared Leto had complete contorl over the crowd with getting us to yell, scream and jump around, and even get the security people to jump aswell. Its really extra exiting that Jared Leto told the audience that 30 seconds to mars are coming back next year to play Soundwave 2011.

My friends and I were in the mosh pit for 30 seonconds to mars. There is something special about mosh pits. Not only do you get to be a little bit closer but I believe that you get some sort of differant experience aswell. I am proud to say that I was in that mosh pit as everyone who was sqiushed and cramped and trying to get closer or just to breath were all looking out for each other. If someone fell or looked like they were introuble people always were helping if someone needed it. With such a rough pit Im glad that everyone was such a community and keeping everyone safe.

I would like to say a special thankyou to the random guy who helped me and my friends get to the front of the mosh. I can't even explain what or how you did it but you rock man! And a special thankyou to the group of guys who picked me up when I fell on the floor in the mosh and got me back to my friend, thankyou for making me safe!

So in the end 30 seconds to mars was amazing and moshing at their concert was amazing, im pretty sure we will be there in 2011 when they play at Soundwave, Will you?

And I'm burning up my flesh.
And when you thought that the "old school trash rock" scene was slowly fading out, if you look a little deeper it's still here and thriving.
Introducing Circle Pit! This duo (Jack Mannix and Angela Bermuda) from Sydney Australia have a unique 70's rock sound that even I thought was going away.

Circle Pit's debut album "Bruise Constellation" is full of grundge, glitter and makes you want to take swigs of vodka straight from the bottle. Their unique sound is backed up by a f*ck you attitude where Jack and Angela don't care  if you hate their music or label it.

So why not check out their myspace page:

Im not drunk but Im stoned.
What happens when you get Kevin Mitchell, Steve Parkin, Josh Pyke and Kav Temperely together for 17 days?
Introducing The Basement Birds!

The Basement birds were formed in 2010 and recorded their album in just a short amount of time. With such talented Australians how can you not expect a great album. With relaxing guitar riffs and beautiful lyrics Basement Birds have definitely brought a new sound out that is really worth a listen.

Kav stated that The band did not mean that he was quitting his own band "Eskimo joe", but just a way to pass the time.

So why not give this unique Aussie sounding band a go.

and we're caught up in the crossfire
So another person from a band has gone solo. Brandon Flowers (the lead singer of The Killers) has gone solo for the moment. His video for his new song "crossfire" has just come out. His debut album "flamingo" is due out in September depending on what country you live in.

I do like this song, but when I found out that Brandon was going solo I was not expecting a ballad, but this ballad is cute. Brandon has an amazing voice and he always comes out with something great but I think i will need a few listens to get it to it I think. I think the video is cute, who dosent love being attaked by ninjas?

Check out the video:

So what do you think? good choice to swim solo for a bit or do you think that Brandon Flowers should go back to his Killer friends?

your boyfriends on vacation and he dossent have to know
He's back! I almost had a giggle when I saw that Enrique Iglasias is back with his new album "Euphoria" that was released on the 2nd of July 2010. In 2001 I was obsessed with his album "Escape" and I still have It in my room today.

I actually like his new single "I like It". I'ts nice to see that Enrique growing up a bit and moving away from the ballad young hot my music to dance with a bit more depth.

Even though Enrique is now 35 Its good to see this blast from the past still around. What do you think, exiting or anoying?
