Talk dont change a thing.
Glastonbury 2010 starts tomorrow (24th June). With an amazing 4 day line up how can you not be exited. Hopefully the weather will be alright and no one gets too wet or muddy. Some of the best English (and a few Australian bands) are playing.

As England is not that close to where I live I will not be going this year. maybe next year? So to get in the mood for the worlds biggest festival I thought I would count down my favourite 5 acts playing at Glastonbury this year.

Number 5: The Flaming lips.

This band is such a cool Indie band with beautiful lyrics. "Do you relise?" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. The Flaming Lips are such a unique band, I would totally see them at Glastonbury this year.

Number 4: MGMT.

This dance duo are amazing at what they do. I have to admit that MGMT are a little strange with their music videos and their look. "Kids" is catchy and when it came out I always danced to it. Defiantly a band I would see at Glastonbury.

Number 3: The Temper Trap.

Its so exiting that this Aussie band is playing at such a huge event! The temper trap is one of my favorite Australian bands right now. I don't think there is a band out there like the temper trap. Their unique Indie sound is indescribable.

Number 2: Vampire weekend.

Im exited that this quirky Indie band are playing at Glastonbury this year. For a young band Im sure they are exited to play at such a historic festival. "Giving up the gun" is one of my favourite songs right now (still). Vampire weekend would have such a good strage presence it would be so exiting to see them live.

Number 1: Muse.

Muse are the biggest band in the world right now. Their music really speaks for itself, its really quite hard to describe. All I understand about Muse is that Matt, Chris and Dom are amazing and so talented. Hopefully one day I will see them live in their own country.

So thats my favourite 5 acts of glastonbury this year, whats yours?

Did you think you're on your own?
Kele Okereke's debut album "The Boxer" is released today. Now Kele may be familiar to you becuase Kele is the Lead singer and rhythm guitarist of "Bloc Party" who are currently on hiatus. "The Boxer" sound is a little bit of a shock to loving Bloc Party fans as Kele's solo albums sound is purely dance not like the indie sound of Bloc Party.

The first single off "The Boxer" is "Tenderoni". This song confirmed fans that Kele is heading towards a more dance side of music. This song is super catchy but definitely a song that I had to listen to quite a few times to get into that kind of dance sound.

In my opionion I think that "The Boxer" is really good. I believe that Kele is good at dance music as he is with Indie music. songs such as "Rise" have meaningful lyrics and a deep dance feel.

If you are like me and are in love with Bloc party, dont be afraid to listen to "The boxer", for a dance album I think that it is one of the best i have heard.

Check out the Video for "Tederoni".

Well I just dance the way I feel.
Introducing  Ou est le swimming pool, this synthpop band from the UK are going to be the next big dance group, with people saying that Ou est le swimming pool will be the next pashion pit.

Ou est le swimming pool are debuting their album "the golden years" in the middle of Agust this year. They have released 2 singles "dance the way I feel" and "These new knights".

I really like the song "dance the way I feel". The lyrics seem to have the same depth as a rock/indie song. Usually I can not relate to lyrics In dance music but I think that "dance the way I feel" is so thought out. The song is fun and you could easily get up and dance too. I like this song becuase I think it has a bit more to it than a good beat. The song could easily relate to all of us and It could conect with everyone on a deeper level.

I am looking forward to "The golden years". So why not check out "dance the way I feel", you never know you might like them as much as I do.

And even when your hope is gone.
We all have albums that we grew up with, albums that helped us through things when we were younger but still have the same affect when we slowly make our transission into adulthood. For me and I'm sure a few of my friends it has been the sencond album from the American rock band The All American Rejects "Move Along". I remember listening to this when I was 15 and relating myself to the lyrics and as I think about it I think I still relate to it.

This is my favourite The All American Rejects album. "Move Along" has beautiful meaningful lyrics that I think everyone can relate to.

"Dirty Little secrets" is such a catchy song. The video is quite clever and I remember belting it out at highschool with my friends. We can all relate to this song. We all have a secret that we are too scared to tell anyone.

"It ends tonight" is a song that I think I have related to ever since I heard this song. I think its a song about how things happen and we hurt people and people hurt you, sometimes we just have to figure out if its worth it who hurts us. "It ends tonight" is one of my main listens recently and the video is just beautiful.

"Move along" is my favorite All American Reject song. This song is such a "going from kid to adult song". I really think that the lyrics speak for themselves. "When all you got to keep you strong move along, move along like i know you do".

I think everyone has an album that helps then go from youth to young adult to adult. Iv shared mine with you. Whats yours?

I'd kill for you.
It's almost 1am on a freezing night and I just got home from seeing Gyroscope. This grunge band from Perth played at the Forum Melbourne and was an over 18 show.

After waiting over 2 hrs and seeing 2suport acts Gyroscope came on and brought this amazing presence with them. They came jumping out on the stage and played "I still taste blood". You could tell the audience was having such a fun time the way they were jumping up and down in the mosh. Everyone in the band looked amazing live and exactly like they look on their video clips, but I was a little frightened of Daniel'd mullot hair (I would maybe rethink your hair style there dan).

The set list was perfect with everyone song I wanted to hear live including snakeskin, baby im getting better and 1981. Even though Gyroscope only played for 1 hour and 10 minutes it was so rediculious and amazing. I had so much fun. When the band performed it felt like they were playing to just you. An overall great experience. I would definitely seen Gyroscope next time they come round to Australia. I just hope we were an amazing audience as much as they were a great show as this morning their flight from WA to Melbourne has a 10 hour delay.

Gyroscope never change your live style or your amazing raw grungy sound. Good job boys. One concert I will remember for a long time.

Have you been to any amazing concerts lately?

And I need to take a vacation.
The young veins new album "Take a vacation!" came out on the 8th of June. I promised myself that I would review the album based on the Music from the album not the whole thing that happened with panic at the disco.

The young veins is Ryan ross, Jon Walker, Andy Soukal, Nick Murray and Nick white.
We knew that the album would have a Beatles feel to it as the first song "Change" was quite Beatles sounding. I really like the song change but honestly I am quite disapointed with the rest of the album. I really do respect the young veins as artists but I really think that the whole beatles sound is old. Songs such as "Take a vacation!", "young veins(die tonight)" and Cape Town are just to similar in sound. I think that this album will grow on me just like the Panic at the disco's last album "Pretty. odd" that had a beatles feel to it grew on me and I enjoyed after about 15 listens.

So in the end, sorry boys but you really didnt do it for me this time. Maybe when you get bored of the Beatles sound and move on your music might be better. I do have faith in you The young veins.

Here is the song "Defiance" off the new album "Take a vacation".

So what do you think? Total hit or disappointment?

Step out in a crazy world but then the sun resets your mind.
I was in Sportsgirl the other day and I heard this song that was super catchy. So I got my Iphone out and used my shazam. It ended up being a song called "Alive" by Goldfrapp.

Goldfrapp is a eltecro music duo consisting of Alison Goldgrapp and Will Gegory. They have been making albums together since 2000. This is the first time that I have ever heard of this duo. Im not really all that much into electro dance but "Alive" is really cute and catchy. "Alive" is on their latest album "Head first", an album I will look into now.

The Video for "Alive" is really cool and reminds me alot of the "you got the love" video by Florence and the machine. This video is very 70/80s with a ton of glitter and gold. Everyone is dancing and looking happy. This video is super cute and will always put you in a good mood.

Check it out.
